Pacific Ice, along with the Town of Kindersley, Saskatchewan, installed the first outdoor sythetic ice hockey rink for general community use. Brett Sautner, President of Minor Hockey Association in Kindersley, spearheaded the operation. Though this project has been in the works for close to a year, the rink took less than a day to install. The kids could not wait to try it out, as this is their first time playing hockey outdoors in the summer heat in their shorts and T-shirts. They are accustomed to playing hockey in -10 to -20 degrees Celcius, but today it was a new experience at close to 30 degree weather. Pacific-Ice hockey rinks can be used twelve months of the year to work on developing your hockey skills.
